FF Maria Soja
Maria Soja became a member of the Auburn Fire-Rescue Department in January of 2019. Prior to Auburn, Maria was a Firefighter/EMT for the town of Dudley since 2015. She started her career as an on-call FF and then transitioned into a career position. Firefighter Soja obtained her FF I/II and Hazmat Operations certifications as a graduate of the Massachusetts Fire Fighting Academy Call/Volunteer Class #056.
Maria has a Bachelor's Degree from Nichols College in Business Administration and is in the process of completing her Paramedic Technology Associates Degree at Quinsigamond Community College.
FF Soja is an active member of the District 7 Dive Team as a tender and plans to further her involvement by becoming certified to work as a diver on the team. Maria also has certifications in Swift water surface rescue level 1 & 2, and Fire Prevention Officer – Basic. In her free time, FF Soja enjoys cross fitting at Auburn's CrossFit Claddagh, trying to golf and spending time with family.
