The training division encompasses all training related activities. Several department members, certified as fire instructors, serve on a training committee under the supervision of the Deputy Chief. Currently, the department conducts two nightly trainings a month for the entire department. On-duty members are required to conduct training daily under the supervision of the Shift Commander.

The Auburn Fire Department has its own training facility, which includes a classroom and a four-story training/burn tower. The training facility is utilized regularly by Fire District 7 departments, and is also available to outside departments.
