The Auburn Fire Department is proud to participate in a national effort to educate the public in fire safety. The program, known as Student Awareness of Fire Education or S.A.F.E., is run by the department's S.A.F.E. Coordinator. Although the program is aimed mainly at children, fire safety education is taught to people of all ages. As part of the S.A.F.E. program, MA Fire District 7 has it's own Surrey Fire Safety House. The safety house is a transportable mobile home designed to show the public how to react in a fire situation, how to access 9-1-1, and is capable of demonstrating a multitude of other safety lessons. The S.A.F.E. Coordinator is responsible for the safety house for District 7. The S.A.F.E. program also involves visiting each school, conducting several departmental educational events throughout the year, and providing demonstrations at several public events held throughout the year. To schedule a S.A.F.E. presentation, or if you have any questions, please contact the S.A.F.E. Coordinator under the Contact Us link.
