The Auburn Fire Department offers a wide array of emergency medical training. The department offers training for every level of medical provider, ranging from the public citizen to the first responder to the paramedic. Classes ranging from basic first aid to EMT refreshers are available. EMT continuing education classes are held frequently as well. The department also offers medical safety presentations and demonstrations as part of it's public safety educational programs. As part of its commitment to E.M.S., the department also allows several schools to utilize Auburn as a service to let their students ride along, which allows for future EMT's to gain valuable experience before they are certified and able to work on their own.
