Department Profile

Training

The training division encompasses all training related activities. Several department members, certified as fire instructors, serve on a training committee under the supervision of the Fire Chief. Currently, the department conducts two nightly trainings a month for the entire department. On-duty members are required to conduct training daily under the supervision of the Shift Commander.

The Auburn Fire Department has its own training facility, which includes an indoor and outdoor classroom, four-story training/burn tower, basement fire prop, roof ventilation prop and three propane fed props (vehicle, dumpster, tank). The training facility is utilized regularly by Fire District 7 departments, and is also available for use to outside departments.
