Chief Whynot has officially announced his
retirement after 27 years of service. The last 7 1/2 years as Chief. His
retirement will take effect October 31, 2010.

Effective July 29 the Town of Auburn Fire
Department has joined the towns of Charlton, Southbridge and Sturbridge
to form a regional Dive Team. This team is responsible for the rescue
and recovery of persons in water related emergencies.
Members from the Town of Auburn are James Sweeney, Dave Tefft, Donald
Contois, Brian Sheridan and Teresa DiDonato.
